Funeral service will be 12 Noon Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Reverend Rich Demastus and Pastor Jim McCune officiating. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd West, Charleston, WV 25387 (www.hospicecarewv.org) or to the Braxton County Animal Shelter, 10 Animal Shelter Lane, Sutton, WV 26601.

Numan Laco Mace, 89, of Frametown, WV passed away on April 23, 2022 at Hospice Care at CAMC Memorial in Charleston, WV due to complications from Alzheimer’s Disease.

He was born in Gassaway, WV in 1932 to the late Edward N. and Lefa Wilson Mace. In 1951, he married to Virginia Pearl Frame and they enjoyed life together for 64 years until her death in 2015.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step grandson, Dylan Grose.

Laco was a dedicated Christian and provider for his family. He was also a friend, mentor and colleague to many in region having spent more than 50 years travelling West Virginia in the construction industry. Laco was a long -time member and deacon of Hope Baptist Church in Frametown.

Laco is survived by his two children and their families; Lynn Hamrick (Gary) of Sutton, WV and Lane Mace (Carrie) of Frametown, WV. He had four grandchildren: Greg (Amanda) Hamrick of
Sutton, Lane (Janell) Mace of Bridgeport, Racheal (Jason) Grose of Charleston and Sam (Carrie)
Mace of Heaters and two step grandchildren, Gracyn Grose and Lawson Grose of Big Otter, WV. He had seven great-grandchildren: Terrance Hamrick, Preston Hamrick, Easton Hamrick, Annelise Mace, Ethan Mace and Finn Mace. He had one great-great-grandchild, Ocie Hamrick.
