Don “Ruben” Kevin Ratcliff, 58, of Braxton County passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

He was born on July 27, 1967, in Braxton County, to his parents, Bertha “Mone” Conrad and the late Thomas Ratcliff.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Conrad.

Ruben is survived by his children, Courtney Ratcliff and fiancé, Chase Hamner of Orlando, WV, Brittney Ratcliff of Morgantown, WV, Jordan Fritz-Ratcliff and Mya Fritz-Ratcliff of Ohio; two grandchildren, Landon Cole Hamner and Braelyn Nycole Hamner; his mother, Bertha “Mone” Ratcliff of Stouts Mills; sisters, Doris “Minney” Brady and husband, Mike, of Turkey Fork, WV, Anita Hickman and husband, Jack of Stouts Mills, WV; brothers, Terry Ratcliff of Stouts Mills, Thomas “Tommy” Ratcliff and wife, Lena, of Exchange and Robert and wife, Lori, of Stouts Mills.

He was an Army veteran and served in the Gulf War. He loved to laugh and spend time with his friends. He will be sadly missed by all those who loved him.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated following the service.

In lieu of the flowers the family requests memorial donations be made directly to Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV 26624 to help with his final expenses.
