Kimball Brent Reeder, 66, of Strange Creek, passed away at home on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

He was born on May 8, 1959, in Braxton County to Nolen Brent Reeder and the late Dorothy Lee Hughes Reeder.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Brent Daniel Reeder; and paternal grandparents, Harold and Zella Putnam Reeder; and maternal grandparents, Creston and Marjorie Young Hughes.

Kimball had strong work ethic. He was currently employed at Appalachian Timber Services in Sutton and had worked as a mechanic at the tie yard for the last 28 years. He enjoyed being around his family. Kimball was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. In the warm months, one could often find him foraging for seasonal native mushrooms. He liked to care for and be around his pets and farm animals. He will be missed.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Janet Westfall Reeder; daughters, Jessica Hacker and Rebecca Reeder; his only grandson, Tristan James Hacker; father, Nolen Brent Reeder; brothers, John Reeder and Joey Reeder; sisters, Robin Reeder, Melissa Ice, and Abby Cutlip and husband, Mike; uncles, Lowel “Peach” Reeder and Melvin Hughes; aunt, Nellie Carr; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Kimball’s visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.

His funeral will be 11 A.M. Thursday, March 19th at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Gibson officiating.

The burial will follow in the Reeder Family Cemetery, Runnion Ridge, Strange Creek.
