Earl D. Rohrbough, 87, of Gassaway passed away peacefully at WVU Medicine Braxton County Memorial Hospital, Gassaway on Monday, April 6, 2026. 

He was born on May 3, 1938, in Braxton County to the late Oscar James Rohrbough and Helen Virginia Perrine Rohrbough. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Rohrbough, Bernard Rohrbough, Otis Rohrbough, Eddie Rohrbough, and Steve Rohrbough; and sisters, Kathleen Rohrbough, Lillian Bostic, Mary Joann Kesling, and Louise Goodson. 

Earl could be found walking around and picking up aluminum cans.  He had the kindest heart, never knew a stranger and would help anyone in need.  He enjoyed stringing beads for necklaces to give away and taking care of his special dog, Baby Dog.  

Left to cherish his memories are his brothers, Jerry Rohrbough of Gassaway; sisters, Lillie Setters of Fairmont, Lola Schoonmaker of Romney, and Marsha Frame of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews including his niece that he lived with for almost a decade, Barbara Carpenter.  

Earl’s visitation will be 11 A.M. to 12 Noon on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway. 

His graveside service will follow at 12:30 P.M.  at Kesling Family Cemetery with Pastor Rick Hart officiating.  

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made directly to Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV  26624 to help with his final expenses.
