Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with the Rev. Johnny Conrad officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Nottingham Cemetery, Duck.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Darrell Nottingham, 84, of Duck, passed away December 24, 2015 of an accidental drowning.

He was born December 16, 1931 in Braxton County a son of the late Holly Dae and Mamie Mae Hall Nottingham Gravier.

Darrell was retired from Todd Shipyards Corp., San Pedro, CA. He was an Army veteran and loved hunting, fishing and especially working on cars.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Caryl Jean Spitsberg Nottingham; son, Rickey Nottingham and wife, Rose of San Pedro, CA; grandsons, Danny Nottingham an wife, Monica and Derek Lancaster; granddaughters, Tina Nottingham and Caitlyn Lancaster; brothers, Lanty Nottingham of Temperance, MI, Mike Nottingham of Frametown and Gary Nottingham of Duck; sisters, Susan Botkins of Bryan, OH and Jeannie Dawson of Duck; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Darla Jean Nottingham; brothers, Clarence, Carl, Darrius, Holly Jr., Gale and Delmas.
