Freddy L. Carr, Sr., 78, of Frametown, passed away January 19, 2016 at home.

He was born January 4, 1938 in Braxton County a son of the late Lantie and Erma Wilson Carr.

Freddy was a heavy equipment operator. He raised potatoes and turnips and was a trader and an avid storyteller.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dottie Cash Carr; son, Freddie Lou Carr (Cindy) of Maysel; daughter, Brenda Carr Baird (Dee) of Ivydale; granddaughter, Myriah Baird Miller (Tyler); great grandchildren, Iris and Clay Miller; brother, Elton Carr (Judy) of Taylorstown, PA; sisters, Margaret Martin of Lordstown, OH and Pauline Reynolds of Gassaway; his grand puppies, Stubby, Daisy and Ruger;

He was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Dale Carr, Edward Carr and Robert Carr.

Per Freddy’s request his body was cremated.

Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Hope Baptist Church, Frametown with the Rev. Rich Demastus officiating.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to assist with funeral expenses to Dottie Carr, 1298 Joes Fork Rd., Frametown, WV 26623.
