Patricia Ann Sattler, 79, of Birch River passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

She was born in Quantico, VA on May 5, 1943 to the late Orlan and Flora Jane Brown Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny J. Sattler; brother, Glen Taylor; and son-in-law at heart, David Stewart.

Patricia was a homemaker.  Earlier in her life, she and her husband raised cattle.  Even after her husband’s death she enjoyed taking care of her milk cow.  She used the milk to make cheese, cottage cheese, buttermilk, and yogurt.  When she was inside, she enjoyed watching the ID channel on the television and reading murder mysteries.  Patricia could crotchet many items such as baby blankets, mittens, hats, gloves and much more.  She also raised Australian Shepherd dogs.

She will be forever remembered by her son, John Sattler of Birch River; daughter, Barbara Adkins of Birch River; granddaughter, Brandy Adkins and husband, Josh, of Charleston; and one great grandson, Carson Adkins.

In keeping with Patricia’s wishes she will be cremated and no services will be held.
