Betty Jane Wright, 88, of Sutton, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 9, 1935, in Albion, New York to the late William and Florence Young.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Johnny Sitzer, Mike Sitzer, Doug Sitzer, and David Thomas, and siblings, Ida Unterborn, Bill Young, George Young, Grant Young, Ann Walls, Karl Young and Charles Young.

A farm laborer who picked apples on farms in New York and worked in Casinos in Texas retired at the age of 75. She loved her family. She enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers Baseball team, NASCAR, and football on the television. She enjoyed collecting all things, Betty Boop. Betty also liked to do puzzles in her spare time.

Betty will be forever remembered by her children, Patricia Green, Eugene (Cynthia) Marling, Melissa (Mark) Salisbury, Frankie Adkins, Peggy (Brian) White; sister, Helen DeBona; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes she will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
