Her service will be 1 P.M. Monday, June 3, 2024, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Reverend Rich Demastus officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rosedale Community Cemetery, Rosedale.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Amber Denise Carter, 47, of Sutton passed away quietly on Friday, May 31, 2024, after battling a small cell carcinoma of the lung.

Amber was the daughter of Janet Carter of Frametown.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Ashlyn Frame of Frametown; son, Jon Frame of Sutton; sister, Brooke Talbott of Sutton; brother, Aaron Cottrell and wife, Paige, of Glenville; stepbrother, Greg Stewart and fiancé, Cindy Friend of Gassaway; and stepfather, Robert Stewart of Frametown. She was the proud NeeNee of two grandsons, Liam Simmons and Gage Simmons both of Frametown; two nieces, Destiny Cox and husband, John, of Martinsburg, WV and Zabrynah McCumbers of Sutton; nephews, Zayden McCumbers of Sutton and Logan Stewart of Frametown.

Preceding Amber in death were her grandson, Andrew Michael Simmons; father, Orville Ray Dancy; and several aunts and uncles.

During Amber’s short time on earth, she took care of others who have since passed on. She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by her family.
