Betty’s visitation will be from 6 to 9 P.M. Friday, February 2, 2024, at Hope Baptist Church, Frametown.

Her funeral will be 11 A.M. Saturday, February 3rd at the church with Pastor Rich Demastus and Barry Miller officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to WV Caring, P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520 or Hope Baptist Church, 7243 Elk River Road, Frametown, WV 26623.

Special thanks to WV Caring for their compassionate care of Betty.

A dinner at the church will follow the interment.

Betty Jo Miller, 78, of Frametown, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, January 26, 2024.

She was born on December 16, 1945, in Frametown to the late Jasper Newton Hughes and Pauline Frances Hughes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Yvonna Strickland, Milton Hughes, Steve Hughes, and Pamela Malcolm; four infant siblings; son, Randy Coffman; and granddaughter, Kayla Jo.

Betty Jo was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Everyone including family, friends and neighbors called her “Granny” or “Great Granny”. She was a caregiver for many. She was a Baptist by faith and had a love for Jesus. She was a long-time member of Hope Baptist Church at Frametown. At the church she sang in the choir and was a Sunday School Teacher. In her spare time, she sang at lots of churches with her gospel group, Sisters of Hope, spreading the good news through song. Betty was always willing to help any in need. One of her favorite pastimes was quilting. She loved watching her hummingbirds at her home. Betty enjoyed riding alongside Ronnie in the Christian Motorcycle Association. Her life was dedicated to her home and church family. She will be deeply missed by all.

Left to cherish her memories are the love of her life, married 62 years, Ronald “Ronnie” W. Miller; daughters, Shannon (Sean) Donahoe of Madison Township, Ohio, Shelly (Robert) Hickman of Tanner, WV, Hope Bailey of Roanoke, WV, Sherry Washington of Morgantown, WV, and Carol Belknap of Jane Lew, WV; sister, Linda (Randy) Minney, of Shock; 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
