Anna Lee Stahlman, age 93, of Dover, Ohio and formerly of Duck, West Virginia, died early Friday, February 23, 2024, while in Park Village Assisted Living Center at Dover.

Born in Duck, West Virginia on February 27, 1930, Anna was a daughter of the late Raymond and Darlie Mollohan Nottingham.

Anna graduated from high school at age 15 and helped her family operate their local store. Years later, Anna attended Glenville State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Business. She went on to further her education at the University of North Carolina Greensboro where she earned her Master’s Degree.

For several years, Anna taught business classes at Glenville State and maintained a very active life on her family farm, helping to tend to dozens of head of cattle and keep up on the regular tasks that surrounded farm life. In her free time, Anna enjoyed gardening, squirrel hunting, shooting, and keeping her cats Lizzie and Lucky.

Anna is survived by her children, Diane Slack of Dover and Debra Hamric of Frametown, West Virginia; her grandchildren, Tessa (Bryce Verhovec) Scott, Jason (Amy) Hamric, Stacey (Randy Mangold) Huffman, Travis (Erin Mitchell) Hamric, and Caleb (Kim) Hamric; her great-grandchildren, Curtis, Kendal (Grace) Jayla, Dylan, Logan, Tanner, Talan, Hudson, Olive, and Maisie.

Completing the family are two brothers, Larry (Carol) Nottingham and James (Vida Lee) Nottingham as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, John Stahlman; an infant daughter, Roseanna Lee Slack; siblings, Bernice Moore, Norman Nottingham, and Linda Akers, and a son-in-law, Vernon “Buck” Hamric.
