Devon Shane Brantley, 19, of Birch River passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

He was born on May 21, 2003 in Weston.

Devon was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joe Salisbury and his paternal great grandfather, Don Frame.

A 2022 graduate of Nicholas County High School, Devon was certified in above ground mining and was in training for a job in the industry.  His favorite pastimes were riding four wheelers and motorcycles.  He worked and tinkered on little motors.  He loved spending time with his girlfriend.

Left to cherish his memories are his brother, Dustin Brantley (Brittany Foster) of Birch River; sister, Delana Dawn Brantley of Little Birch; paternal grandparents, Donna and James Allen Goodson; maternal grandmother, Anna “Darlene” Salisbury; mother, Misty Brantley Salisbury; and father, Shane O’Neal Brantley.

Devon’s visitation was 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.

His funeral was 11 A.M. Thursday, March 23 at the funeral home with Reverend Bill Burdette and Pastor Luke Malensek officiating.

Burial followed in the Stilwell Family Cemetery, Strange Creek.
