Herron, 77, of Sutton passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Braxton Health Care Center, Sutton. She was born July 25, 1944 in Braxton County to the late Grover and Delphia Eleanor Green Berry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Herron and her brother-in-law, Ralph Smallwood. Ruth had a beautiful personality and never knew a stranger. She worked for several years at the Braxton Democrat Newspaper in Sutton. She also helped with the Poplar Ridge Elections and volunteered at the Braxton County Senior Center. She will be missed. She is survived by her sisters, Judith Smallwood of Sutton, Delphia Canterbury of Kentucky, and Vera Blake and husband, Bernard of Salem, WV; several nieces and nephews; good friends, Noretta Helmick and Loretta King and husband, Ronnie; and stepson, Lonnie Richardson.
