She was born July 26, 1958 in Sutton to the late Sunny Knight and Virginia May Utt Grillbortzer. Violet was a Supply Department Supervisor for Navy Federal Credit Union. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband James Thomas “Tuck” Miller; sons, Michael Hayes of Chantilly, Virginia, and Johnny Hayes of Kent, Ohio; daughter, Virginia Swire and husband, Steve, of Marshall, Virginia; brothers, Roy Lee Knight of Clarksburg, WV and William Knight of Martinsburg, WV; sisters, Ellen Baldwin of Alexandria, Virginia, Patricia Knight of North Port, Florida and Lisa Billings of Manassas, In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
