Funeral service will be 12 P.M., Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV.  Burial will follow at Hamrick Cemetery at Swandale, WV.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Diana Lynn McCormick, 62, of Salem, WV, formerly of Clay County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at WVU United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV surrounded by her family.

She was born in Charleston, WV on April 8, 1959 to the late Betty Jean Hamrick and Fred Lee Patterson.

In addition to her parents Diana was preceded in death by her brothers, Rodney Wayne Patterson and John Allen Patterson; and sister, Cheryl Ann Patterson Parks.

Diana was a born again Christian.  She loved fishing, camping, and being outdoors.  Diana’s homemade buttermilk biscuits were five star!  She loved gospel music and spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed volunteering at My Fathers Mission.  Nearing her death Diana texted and said that “I am not alone and I’m not in pain”.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Russell McCormick of Salem, WV; brothers, Michael Patterson of Frametown and David Patterson of Frametown; sisters, Edna Belt and husband Robert of Bomont, WV and Sandra Gillette and husband Timothy of Inverness, FL; half-sister, Debbie Hamrick and husband Russell of Clay; sons, Adam Wood and fiancée Brandy Stuber of Procious and Hirsal Bollinger and wife Daisy of Clay; and daughter, Jennifer Rowland and husband Kenneth of Bellville, OH; stepsons, John McCormick of Salem, Rusty McCormick and wife Lisa of Salem, and Matt McCormick and wife Sonya of Columbus, OH.  Diana is also survived by seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
