Jeanne Yvette Hinely, 81, of Cowen, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Webster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born September 6, 1940 in Long Island, NY to the late Leonard and Yvette Levert Carman.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jimmie L. Hinely, Sr.; son, Jimmie L. Hinely, Jr.; grandson, Derrick Hinely, and brother, Jimmy Carman.

Jeanne was a smart and ambitious woman that had a great work ethic.  She would often work two jobs.  She enjoyed reading all kinds of books and in the later years she would listen to audio books.  She was a birdwatcher and loved to watch the flowers bloom.  Her family was her life.  She was excellent at playing Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble games with her family.  She loved to go and play BINGO.  Jeanne was the oldest of her siblings and the only girl in her family.

She is survived by son, John Hinely and wife, Pam, of Iowa; daughters, Jennifer Carpenter of Georgia and Jessica Grant and husband, Mitch, of Florida; three brothers, Leonard, Gary and Robert Carman; nine grandchildren, Angela, Crystal, Jimmie III, Jasmine, Mandy, Derrick, Joshua, Bud and Tommy; seven great grandchildren, AJ, Scott, Sydney, Cheyenne, Izzy, Morgan, and Chloe; and one great great grandchild, Layla Grace.
