It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Lee Kohsin Swisher announces that on November 7, 2021, at age 97, she joined her beloved husband, Jack, and son, Ted, in heaven.

She was born on June 9, 1924 in Cold Springs, Kentucky.

Adored by her remaining children, Jack Wayne Swisher (Georgette) of Pittsburgh, PA and Jan Frame (David) of Sutton, WV, cherished grandmother of Mollie Miller (Justin), Benjamin Swisher, Miriam Swisher, Bill Swisher, Bonnie Vaglia (Neal), Scott Spencer (Kerri), and 4 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She lived in many places across the country and had a wide variety of jobs from driving a dump truck for the army in WWII to retail clerk in department stores.  She worked until she was 80 years old.  She was a member of First Covenant Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She had the heart of a true volunteer, always involved in her church, Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader, and Hospice worker for over 25 years until she retired at age 91.

Her family is very grateful to the staff of Braxton Health Care Center for the great care they gave her.
