Frances Jean Lambert, 84, of Clay, WV passed away at home on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

She was born July 24, 1937 on Bug Ridge, in Braxton to the late Warder and Eliza Ann Davis Stout.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amburse Lambert; her infant son; two grandsons, Samuel Elliot Robinson and Morgan Michael Douglas Elfers; and son-in-law, Gordon Elfers.

Frances was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She loved playing cards, rummage sales, good food and a good joke. Those who loved her best knew the importance of her coffee, sweets and her morning cig.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her son, Melvin A. Lambert and wife, Kim, of Iowa; stepson, John Lambert and wife, Sharon, of Port Charlotte, Florida; four daughters, DeVona Robinson and husband, Marshall, of Clay, Wynona Lambert of Hereford, Arizona, Deborah Lambert of Kansas City, Missouri, and Linda Carpenter and husband, Keith, of Webster Springs, West Virginia; sisters, Wilda Vargo and husband, Mike, of Marshallville, Ohio and Wanda Miller of Lodi, Ohio.  She is also survived by grandchildren, Amanda Lea, Mackenzie, McKayla, William, Samuel, Marshall Clark, Abraham, Jake, Morgan, Luke, Amanda Jean, Lindsey, Keith, Christy, Leisa, Tammy, and Carrie; great grandchildren, Ellie, John, Tallice, Londyn, Mycha, Dash, Victoria, Bella, Dustin, Keira, Roy, Corrie, Anthony, Justyn, Kodei, Theresa, Thomas, and Rachael; great-great grandchildren, Landon, Chad, Alabama, Nevaeh, and Ava.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Gassaway United Methodist Church, 710 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV.  Interment will be in the Stout Family Cemetery, Fairview Mountain at the head of Big Grassy Creek, Webster County.  Damon Wilkewitz will be officiating.
