Nelda “Ruth” Mallory passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 after an extended illness.

She was born March 3, 1937 to Rev. Clark M. Neptune and Clara Belle Neptune and was one of 7 sisters. She married Donald Eugene Mallory on October 31, 1959 and they had three sons together.

Ruth was preceded by her parents; her sisters, Louise Boord and Ellen Zorik; as well as a brother “Buddy” who died in childhood.

In addition to being a wife and mother to three sons, Ruth enjoyed crocheting, camping, fishing and other outdoor activities with her husband and sons. She loved spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of the Gassaway United Methodist church as well as being active in numerous other churches in her lifetime.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald Mallory of Sutton, WV; sons,   Jeffrey Mallory and wife, Sharon, of Burnsville WV, Michael Mallory of Conway, SC, and Gregory Mallory and wife, Kristin, of Salisbury MD; sisters, Jean Ballantine Andree, Joann Black, Clara Mae Henry, and Grace Biser.  She is also survived by her five grandchildren; Deanna Booth, Jeremy Mallory, Sarah Singleton, Donald Paul Mallory and Katie Schwertfeger; as well as four great grandchildren.
