Garnett Paintiff, 84, of Gassaway passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Clay Health Care Center, Big Otter.

She was born April 28, 1937 in Roane County to the late Golden Edgar Jett and Ocie Hestel Collins Jett.

Garnett was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Paintiff; son, Wayne Paintiff; sisters, Phyllis Jett, and Gay Jett.

She was a retired cook for Braxton County Board of Education.  Garnett enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, baking and spending time with her family.

She will be forever remembered by her daughter, Debbie Cummings of Mississippi; sons, John Paintiff and wife, Becky, of Illinois, Rodney Paintiff and wife, Lorraine, of Gassaway; sisters, June Pritchard of Orlando, FL, and Reba Boner of Charleston; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Reverend Johnny Conrad officiating.  Interment will be the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Strange Creek.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
