Gary Leonard Moore, 70 of Duck, WV entered the presence of his Lord on May 6, 2021. Comfort is found in knowing that our Husband, Dad, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Friend is walking in Heaven’s garden with the Savior, Jesus Christ.  As the rain washes his steps away here on earth, we are reminded in Psalms 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.”  Gary found and shared delight in his life in all that was around him. Gary found delight in family, friends, gardening, watching westerns, and so much more.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Howard and Lettie Moore; and sister, Lela White.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bettie; daughter, Debbie Nichols (Carl) of Siloam, NC; son, Gary Moore (Joanne) of Pilot Mountain, NC; son, Bobby Moore (Bev) of Frametown, WV; daughter, April Dawson (Joe) of Duck, WV. Also surviving are his sister, Carolyn Murphy (Burton) of Chloe, WV; brother, Keith Moore of Nebo, WV; and brother, Howard Moore of Colorado.

Grandchildren are Ethan Moore (Sarah), McKinley Moore (Kennedy), McKayla Moore, Joe Carter Dawson, Jason Moore, Clare Dawson, Erin Nichols, Holt Dawson, and Carly Moore.  Great grandchildren are Amos and Lettie Moore.

Services will be held Saturday, May 8 at 1PM at Roach Funeral Home in Gassaway, WV with visitation starting at 11AM with Pastor JR Mullins officiating.  Graveside service will follow at Dawson Farm Cemetery, Duck, WV.
