John Donald Rollyson, 70, of Sutton, passed away at home on Monday, January 25, 2021.

He was born February 16, 1950 in Gassaway to the late John Creston Rollyson and Nellie Belle Mace Rollyson

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie and Darrel Rollyson; and two nieces, Elta and Michelle.

John was a truck mechanic for Mon Power and JC Baker.  He enjoyed hunting and doing outside jobs.  He would go out of his way to help his friends and family.  If John was inside you could often find him watching the western television shows Gunsmoke and Bonanza or any of the Clint Eastwood movies.  On March 8, 2011 he married his wife, Belinda.  He was a good guy and a good husband.

Left to remember him are his wife, Belinda Rollyson; daughter, Mary Marple (Christopher) of Sutton; brothers, Bob Rollyson of Southington, Ohio, Boyd Rollyson (Claire) of Spotsylvania, VA and Mark Rollyson (Pam) of Summersville, WV; sisters, Betty Hurd of Elkins, Marie Clutter of Summersville, Marjorie Boothe of Lindside, WV, Sue Riffe (Gary) of Gassaway, Ruby Rollyson (Delmas Sartin) of Little Birch, Sandra King (Sam) of Floyd, VA and Linda Utt (Vic) of Gassaway; one aunt, Carol Morris (James) of Winchester, VA.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
