Jackie Darrell Jenkins, 76, of Belfont, WV went home peacefully to his eternal heavenly resting place at his earthly home surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, January 9, 2021.

Born October 30, 1944 in Gilmer County, he was the son of the late Claude and Chrinda Jenkins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, Lee, Marple, Earl, Eddie, Kenneth, and Carl; and four sisters, Virginia, Arine, Delphia, and Onabell.

Others left to cherish is memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Glenna Louise Jenkins; two daughters, Mylinda Jenkins of Newport News, VA and Rebecca Teter (Tim) of Belfont, WV; three sons, James Jenkins (Raymond) of Barhamsville, VA, Jack Jenkins (Karen) of Sutton, WV and Junior Jenkins of Sutton, WV; sister-in-law, Audra Carper (Stevie and Curly) of Belfont, WV ; three brother-in-laws, Randall Carper of Gassaway, WV , Don Carper (Sandy) of Gassaway, WV and Dan Carper of Belfont, WV; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Jackie attended Mid State Church of God in Gassaway, WV.  He loved to fish, hunt and go to church, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed and loved very much by many.

His funeral service will be 5 P.M Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Rodney England and Reverend Wally Post officiating.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

In keeping with Jackie’s wishes he will be cremated after his services.
