Thural Wandel Williams, Jr., 70, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2021 at his home in Perkins, WV.  He was born in Enterprise, WV on November 4, 1950 to Thural Wandel Williams and Gladys Marie Hawkins Williams.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky, he worked over 30 years as an Electronic Engineer near Tampa, FL until he  retired and returned “home to West Virginia” three years ago.  It was said of Thural that “if he couldn’t fix it, it couldn’t be fixed.”

He was preceded in death by his father, Thural W. Williams and his wife, Mary Lou Meadows Williams.

He is survived by his daughter, Tera Marie Williams of Wesley Chapel, FL; mother, Gladys Marie Hawkins Williams of Rosedale, (Perkins) WV; sisters, Linda Moyers (husband Jerry B. Allen) of Flatwoods, WV, Marlene Minney (husband Mark) of Rosedale, (Perkins) WV, Ruth Ann Jacops (husband Richard “Jake”) of Rosedale, WV, Denise Niese (husband Dale) of Northwood, OH; brother, Warren Williams of Vermilion, OH; nieces and nephews including two special grandnephews who visited their uncle frequently, Marshall B. Given of Flatwoods, WV and Mark C. Minney III of Rosedale, (Perkins) WV; and his long-time four-legged companion, Sugar.

In keeping with Thural’s wishes he will be cremated.  A memorial service will be scheduled for a later time.
