Gladys (Mae) Greenlief, 71, of Gassaway passed away December 22, 2020 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 8, 1949 in Gilmer County to the late John Henry Greenlief and Ona Belle Greenlief.

In addition to her parents Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Dick” Greenlief; brothers, Robert Greenlief, and Roger (Pete) Greenlief; sisters, Nellie Stump, Pearl Pyles, Ethel Stump, and Flossie Greenlief.

Mae was a cook at Days Inn for years and she retired from there.  She loved her children, all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be missed.

She will forever be remembered by her son, Roger Greenlief, and wife, Ilene, of Stumptown; daughters, Mary (Sis) Donaldson and husband, James, of Gassaway, and Patricia (Patty) Greenlief and companion, Rodney Singleton, of Cedarville; brother, Rodney “Dicky” Greenlief of Rosedale; and sister, Floda “Tiny” Mowery of Columbia Station, OH.  Mae is also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 1 P.M. Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Sugar Creek Cemetery with Pastor Harold “Shorty” Greenleaf officiating.
