Burial Date November 22, 2024

Leona’s visitation will be 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV.

Her funeral will be 11 A.M. Friday, November 22, 2024, at the O’Brion Christian Church, Duck, WV.

Burial will follow in the O’Brion Christian Church Cemetery.

The family would like to give special thanks to her caretaker, Emma Richards, for her compassionate care of Leona.

I dont know where to start? 20 years I was able to be part of Mrs.Varella life every friday in my beauty shop she was a true saint and a friend like no other we had several talks about her life growing up, working in dc, moving back to Wv but she never failed to tell me how she loved the lord and how he had worked in her life throughout the years,it was a blessing to have her in my life my children loved her she always came with snacks and treats always never empty handed, christmas, birthdays she never forgot!! The twins spent many a friday on her lap reading story books while her hair dryed !! I was blessed to know and love Leonna ,,,Tracy
