David was my Aunt Margorie's son. My dad was Charles Barker who was her brother. I did not know David. We did not visit often after my family moved to Weirton in the mid-1960s. During the last couple of years, my niece Rachel Woods and I have been doing family genealogy research. We traveled to visit my aunts Clara and Erma a couple summers ago. We had hoped to return and visit with him sometime. I knew he had finished high school and was working on farms in the area. I was Facebook friends with the late Virginia Carr who told me some about him. The very same day that I found out about his death, I received a letter from my Aunt Lucy in Illinois. She was answering one that I had sent to her asking about family genealogy. How funny that both occurred on the same day. I am sorry that we will not be able to meet and talk with David.

David was my Aunt Margorie's son. My dad Charles Barker was her brother. I did not know David. We did not visit often once moving to Weirton in the mid-1960s. Recently, my niece Rachel Woods and I have been doing genealogy research. We visited my Aunt Clara Barker befor she passed away, and we also have visited my Aunt Erma Nicholson of Copen. We had hoped to return and visit with David. I knew he had graduated from high school and was working on farms in the area. I was Facebook friends with Virgina Carr before she passed away, and she had given me some information about him. I am sorry that we will not be able to visit with David.

I didn't know David, I wish I had the honor of knowing him but I'm just a person who sympathizes with the grief of others. I always mention a scripture that is comforting me during my bereavement. Before my father passed away, he quoted Phillipians 4:6,7 which says in part: 'Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer ...and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.' My hope is that you find peace from Jehovah during this difficult time.
