Mary Frame Jones, 85, of Gassaway passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center, Bridgeport.  

She was born May 5, 1938, in Lockney, WV to the late Walker J. Hardman and Dorothy Ann Putnam Hardman. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Frame; daughter, Debbie Brady; second husband, Jeniver Jones; brother, Edwin; sisters, Emalene, Elsie, Elma, and Rosalee; and stepson, Glendon Jones. 

Mary had a helping heart.  She was a Christian by faith and she was active at her church, Gassaway United Methodist Church, till she passed away.  At the church she held several offices and started several programs.  She truly enjoyed volunteering.  Several decades ago, Mary received her associate degree in Business Administration from Glenville State College.  She also held local and district offices in the Lions Club and Woman’s Clubs and was Gassaway Town Recorder for several years. Mary enjoyed going to the beach and fishing.  One of her hobbies was writing church hymns. She was proud of her whole family but her great grandchildren were her pride and joy.  

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Joe Frame of Gassaway; stepsons, Ron Jones (Daisy) of Fort Myers, Florida and Gary Jones of Maryland; granddaughter, Katie Brady (Buddy Prince) of Gassaway; grandson, Adam Brady (Claire LeGoues) of Pittsburgh; step grandson, Ian Jones of Maryland; three great grandchildren, Cullen Prince, Charlotte LeBrady, and Julien LeBrady; brothers, Charles Hardman and wife, Bonnie, of Glen Burnie, Maryland; sister, Charlene Cox of Parkersburg; and son-in-law, Mike Brady; step daughter-in-law, Becky Jones and many nieces and nephews.  

Mary’s funeral will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Gassaway United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Burrough officiating.  

Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.  

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.  

The family requests memorial donations be made to Gassaway United Methodist Church, 710 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV  26624.
