Jimmy’s visitation will be from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Little Otter Community Church, on Chapel Road by the railroad tracks in Gassaway.

His funeral will be 1 P.M. following the visitation at the church with Donald Dennison officiating.

Burial will follow in Beall’s Mill Cemetery, Gassaway.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Little Otter Community Church, PO Box 124, Gassaway, WV 26624.

James D. “Jimmy” Lemon, Jr, 71, and loving husband of Revelea Lemon passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Braxton County Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born in Gassaway on February 25, 1952, to the late James Donald Lemon, Sr. and Rachel Leo Tucker Lemon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Regina Sue Carr; paternal grandparents, James H. and Nellie G. Lemon; and maternal grandparents, James E. and Roxie Carpenter Tucker.

Jimmy was a 1972 graduate of Braxton County High School. He was an antique toy car collector. He gained the nickname, “Mr. Clean” from his friends because he kept his vehicles spotless. Jimmy loved woodworking and building things with his hands. He also liked to keep the lawn immaculate and things organized around his house. He was an active member of the Little Otter Community Church. He had a strong work ethic being employed by BF Goodrich in the Tire Industry in Akron, Ohio. He also worked for Derrick Music, Bi-Con and was manager at McDonald’s and for an Office Products Company.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Revelea Singleton Lemon of Gassaway; brother, John Daniel Lemon (Janet) of Frametown; sister, Virginia Ellen Quinn (Joey) of Charleston; stepson, Bobby Hart (Jeanie) of Sutton; stepdaughter, Katrina Dennison (Jeff) of Frametown; stepmother, Charlotte Lemon of Gassaway; half brother, Donald Lemon (Debi) of Sutton; former sister-in-law, Vicki Baker, of Sutton.
