Jessica Marlene Helmick, 44, of Frametown, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV.

She was born in Weston on September 12, 1978, to the late Jimmie Lee Rollyson and Brenda Kay Barnette.

Jessica was a 1996 graduate of Braxton County High School. Working as a secretary, she worked at the local newspaper, a construction company and Braxton County Board of Education over her working career. She had an excellent work ethic and continued to work right up until she became sick. She adored being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading all kinds of books and singing. Jessica was an active member of the Sutton Moose Lodge #825. She had a wonderful personality, and she had many friends.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter, Hannah Goff and husband, Trevor, of Chapel; granddaughter, Adrienne Goff; brother, Jason Rollyson and wife, Heather of Gassaway; sisters, Patricia Myers and husband, John, of Sutton and Arlene Jordan and husband, Calvin, of Lucasville, Ohio; and former husband and friend, Bobby Given; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes she will be cremated.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 6:30 P.M. Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Flatwoods Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Jessica’s life will follow at 6:30 P.M. with Pastor Luke Malensek officiating.
