Nina Elizabeth Rogers, 44 of Duck passed away on April 24, 2023.

She was born on December 15, 1978, in Summersville to John Jarvis of Duck and Barbara Green Jarvis of Sutton.

In addition to her parents, she will be forever remembered by; her son, Joseph Rogers of Duck; brothers, John E. Jarvis (Joanie) of Little Birch; James Lee Hanshaw of California; sister, Neodesha Alford (James) of Bluefield, WV.

Nina was a graduate of Braxton County High School. Not only was she a caregiver to her uncle, but she also worked as a CNA at several nursing homes in Ohio and West Virginia.  She was a kind-hearted animal lover. Nina had 2 dogs, Tinkerbell and Daisy.  She also raised chickens.  She was known for fostering animals for the DNR.  Some of those animals included raccoons, deer and a squirrel.  Nina was everyone’s “go to” person anytime they needed help with a sick pet or animal. She always seemed to know what to do to help. She will be terribly missed by all those who knew her.

Nina was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ford and Dorothy Duffield Green; and paternal grandparents, William H. and Elsie Eagle Jarvis.

In honoring Nina’s wishes, she will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
