Our family was quite large , seven children with Vickie being the youngest , we were poor in material belongings but rich in our love and devotion to each other we knew we could always count on our brothers and sister’s, I could never understand why mom and dad would have such a large family to raise during the depression years , but I realize now we were so lucky to have each other and depend on each other , no one messed with one Shirley they would have seven to take on , which was impossible ! You can’t buy family , devotion, and love and that’s what the Shirley crew had for each other and still have to this day ! Thanks mom and dad we were and still are the richest family of all times ! I love you and will forever remember you ! Only three children left now , R. I. P. My dear sister until we meet again ! Gay Gay !
