Charles “Charley” Elliott Mollohan, 52, of Duck, formerly of Berkley County, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023.

He was born August 25, 1970 in Gassaway to the Orville Carrie Mollohan of Duck and the late Phyllis Ann James.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Nottingham; brother, Dee Mollohan; and brother-in-law, Aaron Nottingham.

Charley was an ingenious master mechanic who worked on all types of engines.  He also worked for Bosley and Midas.  His favorite pastimes were looking at antiques and going to yard sales.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR on tv and he was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan.  Cowboy boots were his favorite shoes to wear and you would often find him in his green polka dot hat.  His favorite songs were Amazing Grace, Shooting Star by Bad Company, and Dream weaver by Gary Wright.  Charley was a wild one but he had a loving heart.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memories are the love of his life, Sherbie Mollohan; son, Charley Mollohan II; daughters, Courtney Thompson and Chase Mollohan all of Marietta; grandchildren, Annie Sue Mollohan, Allie Jo Mollohan, Kaydance Elizabeth Walker, Brentley Edward Walker, Zaiden Eric Thompson, and Briar Elliott Burt; brothers, Johnny Mollohan of Duck; sisters, Carrie Mace (Lane) of Frametown, Sarah Bender (Barry) of Flatwoods, Sue Hanna of Sutton, Cynthia Phillips of Sutton, and Valerie Linsinbigler of Florida; father, Orville Carrie Mollohan of Duck; and several nieces and nephews.

Charley was cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
