Everett Jackson “Jack” Wine passed away January 11, 2023, during surgery at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Jack was born August 16, 1958, in Sutton, WV to the late Clinton Wine and Arletia Teter Wine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his precious son, Storm Wine; his youngest brother, Joe Wine; his father-in-law, Patrick Kraus; and his beloved Boston Terrier, Leo.

Jack grew up in Corley, WV and attended Braxton Co. High School. He was carpenter and plumber by trade and could fix or build nearly anything. He often said he was “A Jack of all trades and a master of none”. He was a gifted and hard working man. Following a workplace injury in 2018 Jack retired and became a full time “Baba” to his cherished grandson, Silas. Jack often said it was the best job he could ever have.

Jack was a simple and sweet man needing very little to be happy and rarely asking for anything. He never complained even when he had a right to. He was quick to lend a hand, tell a joke, or offer quiet comfort and support to those he loved.

Jack is survived by his much loved wife of nearly 32 years, Tracy Current Wine; his beloved daughter, Katrina Wine or “Lovey” as she was called by her dad since birth; and his special grandson, Silas Jackson Wilkinson, all of whom lived with Jack in Weston, WV.

Jack loved his siblings and told many stories of their adventures growing up. He is survived by his sister, Patty (Bucky) Pritt of Copen, WV, his sister, Kathy Meckley of Flatwoods, WV, sister Martha Asbury of Birch River, WV, and brother, Jeff Wine of Corley, WV.

Jack is survived by his many nieces and nephews with whom he enjoyed spending time. He was always a kid at heart. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly.

Jack is survived by his sisters-in-law, Kimberly Brady of Weston, WV, and Leslie (Jerry) Dukes of Horner, WV and his mother-in-law, Linda Kraus, of Weston, WV who will miss her best handyman.

In keeping with Jack’s wishes, he was cremated.
