Judith Ann Long, 71, of Weston, formerly of Little Birch and Gassaway, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Bridgeport Health Care Center surrounded by family.

She was born February 1, 1951 in Gassaway to the late James L. Jeffries and Wanda Belle Propst Jeffries.

Judith married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Darrell.  After her own children started school, she went to Clarksburg Beauty Academy and was a hair dresser for over 20 years.  She was President of the PTA, girl scout leader and homeroom mom.  She was also active in the Christ Church United Methodist in Sutton doing the Angel Tree project and many church projects while she attended there. Judith was truly selfless and generous to a fault, giving her all to help and encourage others.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She was a seamstress who also enjoyed baking and being outdoors. In her later years she enjoyed connecting and reconnecting on social media with her friends and family.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 54 years, Darrell Long; daughter, Libby Martin-Long and wife, Sherry, of Lake Ridge, Virginia; son, Darrell Long II and wife, Lesi, of DeLand, Florida; grandchildren, Kayla Long and fiancé, Charles Davis, Hannah Marie Martin-Long and Jamie Elizabeth Martin-Long; one great grandchild, Rhygel Semper Long-Davis; brother, Gary Jeffries and wife, Lynn, of Gassaway; half-brother, Frankie Jeffries (Hazel) of Gassaway.

Judith’s visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.

Her funeral service will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 11^th at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. John Allen officiating.

Interment will follow in the Skidmore Cemetery, Sutton.
