Deborah’s funeral will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor David Gunter officiating.  Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

Her visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier St., Charleston, WV 25311.

Deborah Lee Weddington, 66, of South Charleston passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 at home.

She was born April 15, 1956 in Gassaway to the late Ronald F. “Butch” Gunter and Rebecca “Becky” Underwood Gunter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Weddington.

Deborah was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. Her great grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting.  Often you could find her using her tablet watching videos, playing games, and enjoying Facebook.

She will be forever remembered by her sons, Chad Jenkins of Dry Fork, Benjamin Weddington of Cross Lanes, and Jacob Weddington of South Charleston; daughter, Rebecca Weddington of South Charleston; grandchildren, Gavin Jenkins, Abbigail Jenkins and Ethan Jenkins, Zachary Knight, Ryan Knight, Emalee Knight; great grandchildren; Reagan Staten and Kyndell Knight; brother, Tom Gunter and wife, Denise, of Napier; and a niece and nephew; and special kitty, Luca.

She will be deeply missed.
