Mareta Jordan, 83, of Rosedale, passed away, Friday, December 30, 2022 at WVU Medicine Braxton County Memorial Hospital.

She was born February 25, 1939 in Gilmer County to the late Donnie and Haddie Jenkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Jordan; infant son, Ronald Lynn Jordan; and son, Blaine Stephen Jordan; and several brothers and sisters.

Mareta was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens.  She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren.  With a giving heart, her door was always open to everyone.

She will be forever remembered by her sons, Victor Jordan and John Jordan; daughter, Norene Jordan; brother, Fred Jenkins; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by her family.

Mareta’s funeral service will be 1 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2022 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Scott Raynor officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosedale Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
