Dorma June Walker, 80, of Nitro, WV entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the Hubbard Hospice House West, Charleston, WV.

She was born on April 6, 1944, in Clay, WV to the late Kenneth Jones and Maxine Quickel Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Dubois, Jr., and brother-in-law, Gary Colonius.

Dorma was a graduate of East Bank High School. She dreamed of being a professional seamstress however her life as a homemaker changed her plans. She never stopped being a creative artist as she loved to use her hands to create crochetings for her family and she often would paint birds and flowers in her spare time. She enjoyed watching football on the television, fishing and going to the casino. Dorma was also a member of the American Legion. She will be missed deeply.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Ronnie Walker of Nitro; daughter, Michelle Tipton and husband, Michael, of Aragon, Georgia; son, Perry Dubois of Newnan, Georgia; grandchildren, Melody Bowie and husband, Jacob, and Margo Tipton; sisters, Brenda Colonius of Medina, Ohio, Sherry Massey and husband, Larry, of Gassaway, and Pam Stevens and husband, Jesse, of Looneyville, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorma’s funeral service will be 2 P.M. Friday, January 3, 2025, at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, WV with Pastor Rodney England officiating.

Her visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Bealls Mill Cemetery, Gassaway, WV.
