Mylinda Lea Jenkins, 50, of New Kent, Virginia, formerly of Gassaway, went to be the Lord on Thursday, August 8, 2024. She died unexpectedly at home.

She was born on April 10, 1974, to Carolyn Jarvis and the late Jack Jenkins, Sr.

Mylinda was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her home. She liked to cook and bake. She also loved to travel. She loved animals so much that she had her own mini farm. At one point in her life, she also worked as a truck driver.

She is survived by her daughters, Kaylea Carper (Rockmon), Angela Thomas (Elliott); son, Lawrence “Tomy” Jarvis (Victoria); six grandchildren; brothers, James Jenkins (Raymond), Jack Jenkins, II (Karen), and Junior Jenkins; stepmother, Louise Jenkins; stepsister, Rebecca Teter; father of her children, Dan Carper; and several nieces and nephews.

Mylinda’s Memorial Service will be 2 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway with Pastor Wally Post officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
