Hazel Carr, 64, of Frametown, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.  

She was born in Gassaway on September 19, 1959.  

Hazel was preceded in death by her father, Milton Carr.  

She was a private caregiver that took care of others outside of her home for over 25 years and later worked for Central West Virginia Aging Services. She was a hardworking and independent woman. Hazel was a loving mother and devoted daughter. Sitting on the front porch and spending time with her family were her favorite pastimes. She was an animal lover. Every year she looked forward to celebrating her birthday. Hazel had a beautiful smile and a heart of gold. She will be missed deeply.  

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Danielle Bender and husband, Jim, of Frametown; mother, Ruth Hart Carr of Frametown; fiancé, Frankie Jeffries of Frametown; brother, Ray Carr of Frametown; nephew, Asa Carr of Frametown; great nephew, Josh Carr; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

In keeping with Hazel’s wishes she will be cremated, and a graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at the Carr Cemetery, Belfont.
