Bonnie June Jones, “Meme” to many, 78, of Frametown passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born June 13, 1944, in Upper Sleith, Frametown, to the late James Branty Rollyson and Dortha Shepherd Rollyson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joann Richey; brothers, Clarence Rollyson, Fletcher Rollyson, James Rollyson, and Donald “Buck” Rollyson; and son-in-law, Raymond Wilson.

Bonnie was a 1962 graduate of Gassaway High School.  She found her way to Virginia where she met her husband, Larry.  While in Virginia she worked for Geico as an office worker and for the FBI as a fingerprint technician.  She and Larry started their family in Virginia; years later, they moved to Ohio where she was a homemaker and took care of her children. Eventually, she and her family made their way back home to West Virginia and became part of the Wilsie community.  Over the years she enjoyed gardening, canning, mowing, weedeating, quilting and embroidery. Making potholders with Larry and doing crossword puzzles were favorite pastimes of hers. She was a long-time member of Charity Baptist Church and attended faithfully until she became sick.  She prepared and organized many church, funeral, firehouse and community dinners and projects.  Bonnie had a servant heart for her Lord and had a passion for helping others; hence, she was part of Rosedale Burden Bears Committee. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband and best friend of 60 years, Larry Dale Jones of Frametown; son, Larry Dale Jones, Jr. (Alisha) of Cross Lanes; daughters, Lisa Jones of Frametown, Crystal Wilson (Mark Cook) of Frametown, and Cheryl Roberts (Keith) of Millstone, WV; grandchildren, Jonathan Roberts (Miranda) of Arnoldsburg, Christopher Wilson (Jaden) of Byesville, Ohio; Caitlin Eakle (Colton) of Millstone, WV, Chelsie McCumbers (Danny Hacker) of Rosedale, and Gabby Cottrell of Rosedale; great granddaughter, Hallie Rayne Roberts and sisters, Rosetta Wilson of Wayne, WV, Sue Moore of Nicut, and Mary Jane Carr of Frametown.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.

Her graveside service will be 1 P.M. Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway with Pastor Steve Arbogast officiating.
