Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Harry Vinton Dean, Jr. Harry Vinton Dean, Jr., 71, of Sutton passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident. He was born November 27, 1950 in Gassaway to the late Harry Vinton Dean Sr. and Ida Belle James Dean. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Rose Lenox; and two sisters, Tammy Jones and Gloria Jenkins and brother, William Dean. Harry was baptized and was a Christian by faith. After graduating from high school, he went to the Job Corp. Next, he began his journey in the military and was truly a traveler around the world. Harry was a United States Army Infantry Veteran who did 88 MIKE work as a truck driver. He was a West Virginia National Guard 1092nd Army Engineers Veteran and he also worked in the Reserves. He and his wife, Ruth, began their courtship in 1964 and were married in 1971. He enjoyed 51 years of marriage to his best friend. They enjoyed traveling on road trips to sightsee at different times of the year. Taking meticulous care of his lawn and garden was his most time-consuming hobby but he loved doing it. He was a proud grandfather and great grandfather that enjoyed poking fun with all his grandkids. Being outdoors, listening to all types of music, and putting together wooden model cars were some of his other favorite pastimes. He is survived by his son, Emery Dean and wife, Crissy, of Centralia; daughter, Michele Johnson and husband, Chris, of Sutton; son-in-law, Mark Lenox, of Virginia; brothers, Terry Dean and wife, Linda, of Burnsville, James Dean of Flatwoods, and Jimmy Dean of Ohio; grandchildren, Harry Franklin Bolser, Tamara Evans, Heaven Brown, Morgan Michele Gregory, and Emery Franklin Dean, Jr.; great grandchildren, Avery Erin, Axl, Konnor, Eli, Karliah, Hayden Scott, Astred, and one expectant great grandchild; and his Dachshund, Robo. Ruth Ann Dean Ruth Ann Dean, 72, of Gassaway, passed away three days later on Sunday, October 16, 2022 from injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident She was born on July 13, 1950, in Pennsylvania to the late Frank Benjamin Henderson and Anna Elizabeth Snyder Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 51 years, Harry Dean, Jr.; daughter, Crystal Rose Lenox; brothers, Frank Harvey Henderson and Tommy Henderson. Ruth had the most caring heart. She was a CNA and caregiver for many people for different agencies. She was Harry’s number one fan and she enjoyed going on traveling trips and spending time with him. Ruth enjoyed baking peanut butter cookies and fudge for her husband. Ruth was baptized and was a Christian by faith. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. You could find her sometimes playing the card game, Rummy, with her grandchildren. She also liked to crochet and quilt. She was truly the epitome of the wife who kept all her husband’s doings organized. In her spare time, she liked to watch Hallmark movies. She also was a huge Elvis music and movies fan. She leaves behind her son, Emery Dean and wife, Crissy, of Centralia; daughter, Michele Johnson and husband, Chris, of Sutton; son-in-law, Mark Lenox of Virginia; sister, Sue Henderson Hinkle and husband, Charlie, of Bug Ridge; grandchildren, Harry Franklin Bolser, Tamara Evans, Heaven Brown, Morgan Michele Gregory, and Emery Franklin Dean, Jr.; great grandchildren, Avery Erin, Axl, Konnor, Eli, Karliah, Hayden Scott, Astred, and one expectant great grandchild; and her Dachshund, Robo.
