Hubert “Tiny” Vinton Claypoole, 87, of Heaters, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at WVU Medicine Braxton County Memorial Hospital, Gassaway.

He was born December 15, 1934 on Bonnie Road, Exchange to the late Roy and Bess Taylor Claypoole.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Leola Frame.

Tiny was a farmer and gardener who loved all his horses. He was a Jack of All Trades on his farm and he truly enjoyed passing his farming knowledge down to his next generation. If a neighbor had a cow that needed help birthing or anyone in the community needed anything, Tiny was there to help. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He will be forever remembered by his daughters, Cinda Chapman and husband, Paul, of Charlotte, NC, Carol Boll and husband, Butch, of Virginia, and Casey Westfall and husband, Scott, of Heaters, Christina Bailey and husband, Richard; ex-wife, Linda Claypoole; grandchildren, Christine Chapman, Matthew Chapman, Ashley Webb and her husband, Michael, Adeline Westfall, Kaleb Westfall, Alana Bailey and Hunter Bailey; and one expected great grandson on the way.

Tiny’s graveside service will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Ware Cemetery, Airport Road, Sutton, WV with Reverend Scott Belknap officiating.
