Daughter of the late Edgar Hugh James and Lydia Ethel Given James, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur L. Blake and infant son, Steven James Blake.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Jane James (Lowell), son, Wilbur Blake (Susan) all of Sutton, WV; grandchildren, Aaron James (Jenna) of Frametown, WV,   Adrienne Rauccio (Frank) of Southport, NC,  Angela Goss (Eric) of Lancaster, PA,   Andrew Blake (Shannon) of Coventry, RI,  Matthew Blake (Jeannine) of Sterling Connecticut, Joseph Fell of Warwick, RI, and Allyson Stocker (Nathan) of Buckhannon, WV; great-grandchildren, Austin James, Tyler Hoagland, Emmaleigh James, Brenley Hoagland, Charlie Rollyson, Roman Rauccio, Adriana Goss, Jocelyn Goss; and great-great granddaughter, Sophie James.  She is also survived by brother, Don James and his wife, Shirley, of Maylene, Alabama, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins, all very dear to her heart.

She was a member of Hope Baptist Church of Frametown, WV, and exemplified the love of Christ through lifetime demonstrations of generosity, sacrifice and kindness toward others.   She loved her family with all her heart, and found the greatest joy in the company of children.   Her lifelong profession had been bookkeeping and she served each employer with diligence and integrity, earning their respect and gratitude.  An avid reader and gardener, she found great delight in a good mystery, and reveled in the beauty of the first spring flowers.  A precious soul in every way – she was deeply loved by her family and friends.  She knew that in Christ, good-byes are not permanent, and a reunion awaits those whose hope is in the Lord.

In keeping with Beatrice’s wishes she will be cremated.
