Malissa Stump Dawson, 88, a resident of Clay Health Care Center, entered into rest in the early hours of Sept. 19, 2015, surrounded by her family. She formerly resided in Nettie, WV, where she was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. She was born at Strange Creek, WV, in 1927, and was preceded in death by her parents Carmel M. and Anna Given Boggs; her sisters Beulah Robison, Eula Acree, Erma Conley and Eunice Stocklas; her granddaughter Jessica Stump; and her husbands Rev. Marvin Darrell Stump and Dale Dawson. She is survived by her children Mike Stump of Fenwick Mtn., WV, Rev. Mark Stump, and Marla Floyd both of Gassaway, WV; her sisters Betty Jarvis of Point Pleasant, WV, and Olive Martin of Florida; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at 1 PM at Gassaway Baptist Church, Gassaway, WV with the Rev. Mark Stump officiating. Family visitation will be from 10 AM to 11AM with public visitation from 11 AM to 1 PM. Graveside services and interment will be at West Virginia Memorial Gardens in Calvin, WV. Richard M. Roach Funeral Home of Gassaway is serving the Stump family.
