With deepest sorrow and much love we mourn the loss of our daddy, Pastor Robert Lee “Bob” Paintiff, 79, of Frametown, WV on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. After a short illness he passed and was surrounded by his loving children in the comfort of his home.

He was born April 17, 1942 at his childhood home in Gassaway, WV to the late Grover Paintiff and Dovie Mae Cottrill Paintiff.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife and soulmate of 53 years, the late Phyllis A. Paintiff; granddaughter, Brittney Nicole Vance; grandson, Wesley Kyle Vance; and brother, James William “Bill” Paintiff.

Bob was a custodian for 30 years at Frametown Elementary School where he retired from the Braxton County Board of Education.  The work he loved the most was the work that he did for his Lord and Savior.  He was a devoted preacher of God for 46 years, most recently at the Simpson Belfont Church.  Bob also loved being outdoors to enjoy the splendors of God’s creation.

Left to cherish his memories are his four daughters; Drema Lee Cunningham and husband, Jerry, of Hartville, OH, Carolyn Sue Hall and Brian of Willow street, PA, Shirley Marie McCourt and husband, Jeff, of Burnsville, WV, and Renni Ranee Singleton and husband, Bill, of Frametown; one son, Robert Lee Paintiff, Jr. and wife, Sherrie, of Elkview, WV; sister, Ruth Steele, and husband, Jack, of New Providence, PA.  He was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren that brought him so much joy and love. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Belfont Simpson Church with Reverend Gary Maynor officiating.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow in the Paintiff Family Cemetery, Upper Sleith.
