Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Alvie Ray Loyd, 84, of Exchange, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at Clay Health Care Center, Big Otter, WV. He was born June 23, 1937 in Gem, WV to the late Alvie Raymond Loyd and Opal Posey Loyd Wilson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Loyd; brothers, Donald Loyd, Roy Loyd and Charles Loyd; and granddaughter, Amanda Gail Loyd. Alvie was most notably known for his several years as a Methodist Minister. He was also a carpenter. He retired from the Braxton County Board of Education as a school bus driver. He loved to watch sports on the television and in person. He will be forever remembered by his wife of 50 years, Louella Sue Self Loyd; daughters, Ruby Fincham and husband Blaine of Exchange, WV and Reva Gaston and husband, Jay of Reedsville, WV; sister, Shirley Loyd; brothers, Freddie Loyd and wife, Renita, and Buddy Loyd and wife, Donna. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Alvie was cremated. There will be no services.
