Nancy L. Rexroad, 74, of Gassaway passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2016 after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roma and Alice Gertrude Webb of Spencer; 21 brothers and sisters; and the only love of her life, her husband, Kenneth Rexroad.

Nancy was a woman of many talents. She was full of life, laughter, and love for all who knew her. She had bowling buddies that she giggled with and had lots of stories to tell. Like the day a rabid groundhog was set on eating one of her children, and Nancy chased it down with a 2×4. She loved to play cards with anyone willing, but her true passion was being a loving woman who never left her husband’s side, caring for him 24/7 with the love and patience of an angel.

She spread her love of family through stories, songs and simple acts of kindness

and love of flowers and nature.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her one remaining sibling, Jo Ann Whiting of Spencer; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and her three children, Debbie (Brad) Duffield of Gassaway, Margie Rexroad of Flatwoods and Kevin (Tram) Rexroad of Albuquerque, NM. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Josh (Kelly) Lunceford, Clint (Michelle) Lunceford, Erica (Howie) McCormick, Chase Duffield and Skylar and Clay Rexroad; four great grandchildren, Kylie Kendra, Hailey and Ashton Lunceford.

Service will be 4 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Bryon Bukovesky officiating. Interment will be in the Beall’s Mill Cemetery, Gassaway.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service.
