Tammy Lee Burroughs, 54, of Heaters, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, July 9, 2021.

She was born June 17, 1967 in Gassaway to Sharon Lee Gillespie Gill and the late Roger Lee Williams.

Tammy was employed at Braxton County Board of Education for several years as a cook at Braxton County High School.  In her spare time, her place was near the water.  You would often find her on the boat at Stonewall Lake in the summer.  She enjoyed going to the beach for her vacations. Spending time with her granddaughter was one of her favorite pastimes.  She was a Christian by faith.

Tammy will be forever remembered by her husband, Kirk Burroughs, of Heaters; daughters, Sarah Burroughs of Charleston and Lisa McCune and husband, David, of Glenville; granddaughter, Makena Burroughs; sister, Tina Squires and husband, Eric, of Fairfax, VA; brothers, Randy Lee Williams and wife, Mindy, of Gassaway, James “Clark” Williams of Flatwoods, Matthew Todd Williams and wife, Olivia, of Servia, and JD Williams of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be 1 to 3 P.M. Monday, July 12, 2021 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway and the funeral service will follow at 3 P.M. with Pastor Eric Veltre officiating.

In keeping with Tammy’s wishes she will be cremated following her services.

Private inurnment will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV 26624.
