Skidmore, 78, of Gassaway, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at CAMC General. Son of the late Denzil and Leoma Skidmore, he was born on November 7, 1942 in Sutton, WV. He married Sally (Lemon) Skidmore on June 1, 1962 after graduating from Nashville Diesel School. Jerry retired from Praxair where he worked as a Cryogenics Technician. He had a passion for cars, motorcycles and NASCAR races. Jerry will be forever remembered by his wife of 58 years, Sally Skidmore; children, Deborah (Jeff) Reed and Jerry (Becky) Skidmore; granddaughters, Jessica Paige Reed and Jessica Joelle (Cory) Bontrager; great-grandchildren, Ian and Maggie; brothers, Robert (Jo) Means and Stephen Skidmore, step-brothers Ed (Lib) Stewart and Terry (Irene) Stewart and numerous nieces and nephews.
